Hey everyone.
This is the second thread on this problem. We are at our wit's end and
would appreciate any help.
Summary:
-migrated from Redhat AS System to FC3 (new hardware platform)
-everything works (larrd, rrd, ext scripts, etc), except
notifications
-copied bbwarnsetup.cfg and bbwarnrules.cfg from original working
system
-bbchkcmds.sh completes without errors
-created wrapper for both mail and ex3 which simply logs access -
no log was generated for either
-maint.pl script successfully sends e-mails from within BB System
-can successfully e-mail from prompt
-acks/notifications file only shows maint.pl entries
-provided 777 permissions to all directories and files in bbvar
for troubleshooting
-noticed a reference to /usr/sbin/mail in bbsys.sh - corrected and
created soft link to /bin/mail at /usr/sbin/mail
-pertinent bbwarnsetup.cfg parms:
bbwarn: TRUE
ignforall:
pagelevels: red
pagelevelsmail: yellow red
pagetype: EVENT
-pertinent bbwarnrules.cfg parms:
*;telemed* hosp1*
hscsveritas-2*;mrtg;;*;*;ext-ex3-xxx@hscmail.mcc.virginia.edu:~2-120
ext-ex3-yyy@hscmail.mcc.virginia.edu:~5-120
*;telemed* hosp1*
hscsveritas-2*;conn;;1-5;0750-1710;ext-pager-networkops:~1-30
-ensured ex3 scripts are executable
Any ideas are appreciated. Anyone else running in FC3?
Thanks everyone and Happy Holidays...
Alan
