When I run this straight from cgi-bin/bb-findhost.sh (for this example) I get an "Internal Server Error", which is why I back-tracked to the cgi binary, and then tried to re-compile (with no success when testing the binary from the bbdisplay directory).
Here's a snip from the output in Apache's error_log:
BBHOME=/usr/local/bb
+ export BBHOME
... output cut ...
+ exec /usr/local/bb/bin/bb-findhost.cgi
[Tue Dec 21 13:37:19 2004] [error] [client IP.ADDRESS] Premature end of script headers: /usr/local/apache/cgi-bin/bb-findhost.sh

I'll be the first to admit that error-handling ought to be better,
BUT: These CGI's are meant to be invoked as CGI-scripts by the
corresponding *.sh wrapper, that takes care to setup the BB
environment variables before running the CGI program.
This particular crash happens when the BBHOME environment is not
set.
If they dump core even with the BB environment defined, I'll be
interested to hear about it.
