{bb} https/lynx-2.8.5 can't find startfile?

Hello,

I am running Big Brother on a SCO 5.0.7 Openserver box.

We have several servers that listen on both port 80 and 443 so I wanted to add the appropriate check in bb-hosts to make that happen but I can’t seem to get past an error I am getting relating to a startfile. Here is the version output of Lynx:

Lynx Version 2.8.5dev.8 (28 May 2002)

libwww-FM 2.14, SSL-MM 1.4.1, OpenSSL 0.9.6b

Built on sco3.2v5.0.7 Jul 25 2002 03:57:05

And when I check Big Brother all the servers that I added a URL check for https:// socket they now show as red, and when I look at the detail, port 80 is testing just fine but port 443 errors out with the following:

http://beryl2.somedomain.com/ - Server OK
HTTP/1.1 200 OK

Looking up beryl2.somedomain.com
Making HTTPS connection to beryl2.somedomain.com
Retrying connection without TLS.
Looking up beryl2.somedomain.com
Making HTTPS connection to beryl2.somedomain.com
Alert!: Unable to make secure connection to remote host.

lynx: Can't access startfile https://beryl2.somedomain.com/

But from the SCO box running Big Brother I can type “lynx https://beryl2.somedomain.com/” And I get immediately connected.

I know the startfile refers to the lynx.cfg but is it the lynx.cfg on the Big Brother server or the lynx.cfg on the server being monitored? Because the STARTFILE on the Big Brother server is set to a local URL to that server so I don’t understand the error. Can someone set me straight here and tell me what I am doing wrong?

Thanks so much, and merry Christmas!
