{bb} Purple test that will not die

I have got a client that used to be the BBDISPLAY.  I've stopped the server on 
process there, change all the bb-hosts files, started the server on the new 
host, started both clients.  Everything is fine except the client that used 
to be the server has got a netstat test that is eternally purple.  I have 
removed the log files to no avail -- the purple just keeps coming back!  I 
don't know how to see what is wrong.  Any suggestions?
