Since there is no extention (I would expect it to be .sh or something), is 
the whiz-bang (#! /bin/sh in some cases) correctly pointing to the correct 
shell?  What does the line in your bb-bbexttab look like on the BBNET machine?

Yes, the /home/bbrother/bb/bb1.9e-btf/ext/nmap script has the following 
properties (eg. ls -l)
