By default, BB does keep a history of all events. You can view the
history of a single status by clicking the "History" button at the
bottom of the status page.

The history display is generated from the files in the $BBVAR/hist/
directory. There is one file per status, and a combined file per host.
There is also the $BBVAR/hist/allevents file, which records all events
for all hosts.

I believe the format of these are described in the Big Brother manual.
