I have a very large and very busy BB server, and notice a lot of bb_rename errors logged to BBOUT where new status logs are unable to be renamed, with an errno 2 message.

This is a pretty popular error in the list so you may want to check the archive for more details--but there the quite a few of the ones I found tonight were exchanges attempting to collect information. Archives aside, the first thing to check is if the display server is getting multiple reports for a host X test pair. If that doesn't yield immediate results, see if the same servers or tests have the problems.

You mentioned a lot of servers so it is safe to assume your installation is somewhat complex.

Several ways you could get multiple responses for a single test are relays, a client server appearing in your bb-hosts file multiple times (possiblly with network tests being performed again--oh, if you have a client listes more than once, one of them needs the # noconn {because "conn" is the default}).
