{bb} bb-nis.sh and Redhat Linux
Greetings all. I recently discovered
Big Brother, and now have it installed on all our Network Management servers
to monitor server health. I must say that while I am a newbie, I
am VERY impressed with the product, with the support available through
the mail list and archives, and with how easy it is to do custom work on
the application.
That said, I need some assistance. I
have a BBDISPLAY server running on a Redhat Fedora Core 3 server, and all
works beautifully with one exception. The output from the bb-nis.sh
script, when it arrives at the server, is not right. Here is what
I mean. On my Wintel BBDISPLAY server, when I click on the green
gif in the nis column, I see properly formatted HTML tables. On my
Linux BBDISPLAY server, when I click the green nis gif for the same server,
I see actual HTML tags instead of tables. I have looked at the entry
in $BBVAR/logs/{server}.nis on my Linux machine, and I see that everywhere
there is supposed to be a "<", there is "<"
and everywhere there is supposed to be a ">", there is a ">".
When I check the same entry on my Wintel machine, I see properly
formatted HTML tags. Has anyone else ran across this? If so,
what did you do to fix it? Finally, if anyone who has not run across
this has any ideas on how I can fix this, I would appreciate the help.
Thanks!
