{bb} {bbnt} bbnt Client Won't Start on Windows 2003

Hello,

I installed  the Big Brother SNM Client 1.08d on my Windows 2003 Server,
but not the bbntd server.  Initially, it fired right up and send lots 
of reports
to my main bb server on Unix.  However, the name on Windows 2003 was
all upper-case, and the bb-hosts file on my Unix box was lower-case.

I used the bbconfig GUI to change the alias name to lower-case.  When I 
tried
to restart the bb client service, I got:

"Could not start the Big Brother SNM Client 1.08d service on Local 
Computer.
Error 193: 0xc1"

I tried changing the alias back to all caps, but same results.

Then I tried un-installing and re-installing.  Same thing.

Next I un-installed, deleted every registry entry related to bb, and 
re-installed.
No joy.

I searched the Microsoft Knowledge Base on the Error 193:0xc1.  There 
was
something mentioned about "invalid executable image...".  So, I copied 
the
bbnt program from a working NT 4.0 server to overlay the version on the
Windows 2003 Server.  Same result.

Now I'm out of ideas.  I'm willing to change the Unix box to all caps, 
but the
client still needs to run properly.  Anybody have any suggestions?
