You could add a bottom feeder to larrd.  That would 
be my suggestion.  There are plenty of example 
bottom feeders in the larrd distribution.

Otherwise, you'll have a hard time embedding the 
graph in the same page as the value from where 
the script is grabbing the data.

documentation on writing your own BB extension using rrdtool. 

I have a bb extenstion that has a numeric value result which I would
like stored in rrd and graphed.

My BB installation has larrd installed but I never really used rrd
for my own extensions.
