Re: {bb} Checking runlevel
The "procs" test can look
for processes that should NOT be running. You can make BB go yellow
or red if the X login process is running.
I assume this is Linux. Not all
"who" commands support the "-r".
I can understand wanting to run X. But
why not login under ASCII terminal and run "startx"? That will
provide the X environment, but leave the system at init 3. When the
user exits, so will the X environment. Then no need to change run
levels.

Looks like you could custom develop a script to monitor and process the
output of "who -r" and awk out the run level. Put that
into a script to run every 5, and flag the BB Display accordingly. Just
my 2 cents! :o)

All -
I was wondering if anyone already has a method to check the current
runlevel of a bbclient. I have boxes that are normally in runlevel
3,
but sometimes we put them in runlevel 5 to access X. If someone leaves
a server in runlevel 5, I would like BB to notice.
I don't see anything on the BB archive or deadcat that addresses this.
Thanks!
