I'm not running it myself, and I don't currently have access to any
Solaris machines, but it appears to be a fairly standard wrapper
around the "ntptrace" command. I expect that the responses that you
are seeing are actually those that are generated, but you can run
"ntptrace" manually to check that. If so, you'll have to debug NTP
to find out what's going wrong.

It also appears that some people find it advantageous to replace
the standard Sun implementation:
