So I've finally gotten around to setting up LARRD as my first step
towards bbgen. Everything looked good, the pages show up, and it
appeared to be working but it is perpetually collecting data. I've
tracked down a number of issues, including environment settings that
were not documented in larrd's INSTALL file, but someone handily listed
on the web. (http://www.geocomputing.net/kb/bb) After searching the
mailing list archives, I've also double checked that the larrd tmp is
set. It does indeed exist and is owned by bb, and writable. (drwxr-xr-x
2 bb root 48 Apr 14 13:39 tmp).
I'm having trouble tracking down the following problems from my LARRDOUT
file.
LARRDOUT says 'BBRRDS is not set' and yet, in larrd-config.pl, it says
$ENV{'BBRRDS'}="$ENV{'BBVAR'}/rrd";
It also gives me a ton of errors like
/usr/local/larrd/la-larrd.pl: STATUS did not find
/usr/local/bb/bbvar/rrd/qahost5.castle.macrovision.com.la.rrd, created.
/usr/local/larrd/la-larrd.pl: STATUS did not find
/usr/local/bb/bbvar/rrd/qahost5.castle.macrovision.com.users.rrd,
created.
BUT these files are indeed in that directory, and getting updated:
bb@bigbrother rrd $ ls -al qahost5.castle.macrovision.com.users.rrd
-rw-r--r-- 1 bb users 19548 Apr 15 11:11
qahost5.castle.macrovision.com.users.rrd
Use of uninitialized value in concatenation (.) or string at
/usr/local/larrd/larrd-config.pl line 84.
I think this is because of the following, but I don't know how to
resolve it:
84 $ENV{'RRDPM'}="$ENV/usr/lib/perl5/5.8.4/i686-linux"; Do I have
to escape the periods in the directory name??
Can't exec "/cgi-bin/bb-hostsvc.sh": No such file or directory at
/usr/local/larrd/larrd-html.pl line 193. <-- This also exists...
-rwxr-xr-x 1 bb root 2478 Apr 29 2004 bb-hostsvc.sh. Larrd-config has
$ENV{'LARRDHOSTSVC'}="/usr/local/apache/cgi-bin/bb-hostsvc.sh"; and then
larrd-html calls LARRDHOSTSVC so I don't know why it can't find it.
So what gives? Help!
Thanks :)
~Kim
