Hello all,
I just got BB installed on a Linux Box running RH Fedora 3. I have some
simple questions. On the main page, I have 3 Windows 2000 servers that I am
currently monitoring, now I have installed the windows client on one 2000
box and I am getting an alert, which is fine and what I want, but this is
what is happening. The main page is yellow to the right indicating an
alert, but the only items that are showing that are being monitored are the
"CONN" and "HTTP". I can only see the alert when I go to the bb2.html page.
A while ago I installed the Windows version and when I installed the client,
I immediately got all the parameters I was monitoring on the bb.html page.
Is there a way to get all the parameters that I want to monitor ie. disk
space usage to show on the main page? I am probably got something really
simple wrong, but I cant see it.
Thanks
Mel

Subject: {bb} New BB server, purple http tests
Folks,
I just moved my BB services from BB 1.9c to 1.9e. The situation is thus:
Solaris 8
SunFire 280R, dual proc 900MHz
4GB memory
Big Brother 1.9e
bbgen 3.5
OpenSSL 0.9.7d
Tests are on previously successfully tested IIS and Apache servers.
I've got one that goes green periodically, but I can't tell what is
different about that one vs. the rest. The rest just went purple
today starting at about 11:20am, with no reason why.
I have copied a version of bb-network.sh to another file, and added
the --no-update and --debug tags. I run that and pipe the output to a
file, then examine it. I see the http tests all reporting green, but
they never show up in the $BBVAR/logs directory. Something is just
not right about this.
I previously saw Henrik's questions about the MAXLINE and MAXMSG
flags, and verified that they are the same between BB and bbgen, and
were compiled that way.
I'm at a loss, and at wit's end here. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.
Regards,
Ben Pitzer
