RE: {bb} How to hide the BBHOST itself ?

ALWAYS setup another server, in a physically different location, to monitor
your primary bb server.

Before the days of bb, we had a workstation that ping-monitored our servers,
as well as temperature and power conditions in the server room. This system
was located in our IT admin office area. A freak water pipe break occurring
a couple of floors above ours allowed water to leak down to and _flood_ our
floor. The FIRST (and only) system the water took out was this monitoring
station (through cracks in the floor above). We never got notification that
building power had gone out until our customer called us asking us to come
up to the office to help shutdown the servers. After that, we setup our
backup server to monitor the monitoring workstation. :-)

Thgat's why you set up a second server and have both monitor each other.

<SNIP>
