Re: {bb} DNS name lookups ?



nslookup is used for "dns" directives.  It looks for the 
hostname exactly (with or without FQDN, I'm not sure) 
as it appears in the bb-host file.  I think you can 
put dig in the directive if you have it installed.

Can the internal dns/dig test do an actual name resolution ?  Or do I
have to use an external script for this ?

We have a complex DNS setup and want to make sure we can resolve a
name
in a certain domain, hence I need more than just "is the dns server
responding".

If it matters, we are also using bbgen.
