No. Many people monitor hundreds of hosts.

Test are enabled in different ways, depending on whether they are
client or network tests. For all the network tests above, you should
have a line in your bb-hosts file like:
10.10.10.10 aix2.myplace.com # dns ftp pop3 smtp
http://aix2.myplace.com/
(That's one line) And this needs to be (at least) on the machine that
is acting as the BBNET server.
The client tests (cpu disk msgs procs) are not controlled by the
bb-hosts file. Just running the client is enough. The first thing
to check is that the client is actually running on that machine
and the BBOUT file doesn't contain any errors.
The next most likely cause is that the client is reporting, but
is not using the name that you configured in the bb-hosts file
(on the machine that is acting as the BBDISPLAY server). The
match needs to be exact, with the same case.
You can check the bb2.html page (the icon with the arrows in the
top left of the main BB page) or list the contents of the bbvar/logs
directory to see if there are any status files that are comming
from an unknown source. If this is the case, create a file called
"bbaliasname" in the etc directory on the client and put the name
that you want this client to use (as used in the bb-hosts file)
in there. Then restart the client.
There's a great deal of useful information available in the manual
(the "i" in a circle icon on your main BB page).
Cheers, Phil.
