RE: {bb} Emails Notification on Win2k

Hi,

The smtp server is already set to relay to yahoo.fr since yesterday and it still doesn't work. I have two entries in the relay : the smtp server IP and the yahoo.fr. I even removed the smtp server IP and kept only the yahoo.fr and I still didn't manage to get it work.

The is the log file from the SMTP server  is there something wrong? :

I agree to the point that Robert-Andre said. As i already mentioned in first mail you should make your local smtp server to relay for the yahoo domain. Then problem will be resolved.

Thanks to both of you Balaji and Robert-Andre.
I am using the default smtp server coming with win2k. I manage to receive some notifications at startup. The strange part is that BB is generating emails but the smtp server is not sending them. They are all store in the Inetpub/mailroot/badmail diretory. It is maybe related to my smtp server configuration, i tried to figure in vain. Please find below one exemple of generated mail and let me know if you can see anything wrong.

You can use default smtp service coming with IIS in win2k server itself . Configure that to relay for your mail ID which you want to tecieve notifications.

Thanks ! I am trying to download one free SMTP Server. Do you have one to suggest to me please? I tried freeSMTP but it is not working properly; It is waitting for connections for a while.

I am just starting to use BB and thanks for a such great tool.



My problem is this: I am not able to receive email notifications from the server. I am running BB on a WIN2K server. In the tmp directory, I have a bunch of np* files but i am not receiving any emails.



Do I need to set anything else? The win2k server is a new PC running only BB. Do i need to have a SMTP server running on that machine?



I tried to follow up the discussion on that topic between Nikol! a Vujic > and Robert-Andre Croteau > on the same topic in 2002!!!. But I didn’t find solution to my problem.



Any help would be appreciated.
