First the disclaimer :) I don't use BBgen or Hobbit, so I can't provide
any specific help. But, since Henrik has not provided the definitive
reply yet, I'm willing to speculate.
ISTR that recent Bbgen versions used a custom library for DNS lookups,
for efficiency. As a result, it might actually tax your DNS server(s)
more than traditional BB. I'd either try to configure the library
(or Bbgen) to throttle it's DNS usage, or maybe add a DNS server for
your BB servers to use. That way, any spikes should not affect your
other tests.
