RE: {bb} Email issue

So the line for my Big Brother server in the BB-Hosts file looks to be
fine it looks as follows:

10.6.1.50 MONITOR # BBPAGER BBNET BBDISPLAY !ftp !pop3 ssh
!telnet http://monitor/bb

Which I believe is correct, I have posted below the contents of the
BBOUT file, which contains nothing except for an MRTG script error,
which is expected as I have not configured MRTG on this box yet, just
pulled down the scripts from Deadcat and put them on the box.

Would it help to send you my bbwarnrules files?

So, BB is not trying to send out alerts.

The first thing to do is to check the line for your BB server in
BBHOME/etc/bb-hosts. Make sure that the BBPAGER directive is
there, like so:

  192.168.116.1 x.bb4.com # BBPAGER BBNET BBDISPLAY ftp pop3

If that's OK, stop BB; move the log file BBHOME/BBOUT out of the
way; start BB and let it run for at least one cycle (5 minutes).
Post the contents of BBOUT to the list, if you can't see any
obvious problems in there.

Cheers, Phil.
