{bb} invalid storage class for function ʽbbd_timeoutʼ

Hi all, 

I am trying to run "make" on a new Fedora Core 4 machine, but get a
compile error below. Any hints would be appreciated.

System = Fedora Core 4 2.6.11
GCC	 Verison 4.0.0.
