RE : {bb} disable Connection test for certain hosts only

Title: Message
It's not very secure to open the port 1984 from your DMZ hosts to your bbserver if  this one is not
on the DMZ.

please consider using snmp or bbfetch or bb-central to grab the infos from your network.

Objet : {bb} disable Connection test for certain hosts only

Hi,

We've recently started to use Big Brother and are well pleased with it so far. We've added almost all our servers into it and it works well. We have 4 servers that are in a DMZ and adding these is causing some issues. I've read up and saw that we need to open port 1984 to get the basics going and I don't see any problems here.

The problem we run into is that we can't ping the boxes in the DMZ (for obvious reasons). But I can't seem to turn of the CONN test for just these 4 boxes. The documentation only refers to how to disable it completely for all boxes. I tried supressing the warning mails and the column in the display which works well, but the background still goes red :(

I added a !conn in bb-hosts with no success and I tried conn:Q with no luck either.....Any way to stop it from paying any attention to CONN for these 4 boxes?

thanx
