We are running BB1.9e-btf on a sunblade1000 running solaris 9.
We are using the external maintenance mode script maint.pl.v2.9.
We have 1 issue with it. We had 1 machine in maintenance mode. A situation
arose where we had to put all other servers/tests in maintenance mode for a
period of time. During this process the sys admin selected all machines to
be put in maintenance mode for a new time period (including the one already
disabled). This overwrote the initial time period the server was put in
maintenance mode for. When the time period in the new setting elapsed the
machine that was in maint mode before the mass disable was enabled and
started paging out. Which makes for some very upset support people.
Is there a way to prevent a user from putting a machine in maintenance mode
if it already is in maintenance mode. We'd like to prevent the settings
from getting overwritten.
I hope this isn't too confusing.
Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Charlene
