I am trying to understand the BB installation at our site, I did not set
it up. The bbserver (call it tom) has in a fairly large number of hosts
in the bb-hosts file. Looking in the home directory of the bb user on
tom it appears that only one directory exists and it appears to be for
the server software. On the bb web page though it appears to be
monitoring all the normal items as if the client software were installed
on tom also. I was under the impression that even though the server
software was installed on tom, it still had to have the client software
also installed to monitor the usual client items (conn, cpu, procs
etc.). I do not see any valid proctab, cputab etc. I do not understand
were the info is coming from. I recently downloaded and installed the
bbserver software on a small test network I had to create a directory
for both the server (~/bb/)and the client software (~/bbc/) in order for
the for the server to be monitored. What am I missing?
