Hello,
I posted this message earlier this month, but didn't get any responses.
At this point, I'd just like to know if it's possible (to monitor the
File Replication Service event log on Windows). Thanks!
---
I'm interested in monitoring the File Replication Service event log on a
Windows 2000 server. I did find this post, but it didn't really have any
details in it:
http://support.bb4.com/archive/200203/msg00153.html
I attempted to map the names used by BB (SYS, SEC, APP) to the filenames
used by Win2k (SysEvent.evt, SecEvent.evt, AppEvent.evt) and then by
extension, figure out what the BB client may use to refer to the FRS
event log. But since the filename is ntfrs.evt, there isn't a consistent
pattern.
I also attempted to use the ScanEventLog.vbs
(http://www.deadcat.net/viewfile.php?fileid=867) extension, but could
not get that to work despite tweaking some of the variables. It didn't
even create a log file. Funny enough, the only thing it would do when
I ran it is issue a system beep!
Oh yes, I'm using version 1.08d of the BB client. Any help would be
appreciated.
