Got it :)

In lib/LARRD/config.pm (at line 92), change:

  $ENV{'LARRDCOMM'}="AUTO";

to either STATUS or DATA depending on which method you want to use.
The AUTO method tries to find the correct method using your BB
makefile, which will not work on recent versions.

Also, section 6.22 of the on-line BB manual suggests adding the
"NOTESMSG" tag to RUNOPTS (for graphs on status pages) and
removing "&" from CLEANCHARS.
