I recently setup a new BB server and it ran find for a few days. This
morning however I came in to find the server down. After a reboot it
seemed to function properly for about 20 minutes and once again
locked up. It seems to be running out of memory due to an excessive
amount of bbd processes being spawned. I watched the processes climb to
over 1600 before it finally crashed. It seems that the security
(~/bb/etc/security) file that I implemented the night before caused the
issue. I renamed the file (security.orig) an now the number of
processes seem to be
normal. I copied the security file from an existing server that
functions properly, so I'm not sure why it causes the above issues. I
have not had time to look into it further, but
thought I would see if any one else has seen this before.
