RE: {bb} BB causing TSM to hang ?

When you say in general, are you implying that it ought to be already
set to check only local disks? Interestingly, by default, Big Brother's
df command does not use the -l flag. I found that ours was trying to
check all the nfs mounts, which is less than desireable for my setup. I
changed it in /usr/local/bb/bbc/etc/bbsys.local. 



One thing that does occur to me is the effect of the "df"
command. If "df" lists the storage systems that Tivoli is managing, the
client might be forcing those systems to be re-mounted every testing
cycle and that's a possible source of conflict. In general, only local
disks should be checked by the client software. Anything that's being
handled by Tivoli is probably more effectively tested through Tivoli.
