Sorry, "every other test is green." isnt clear enough.

  "every other smtpd test is green."

Or better:

  every odd smtpd test is red
  every even smtpd test is green.


and yes, I can telnet (25 and others) into the box quite nicely, and
mail is delivered too; this is the INTERNAL mailserver, it get 
its mail delivered from "mail.mms.vic.edu.au".
