{bb} BB 1.4 HPUX Messages

I have an old system running BB 1.4 and upgrading to a new BB at this
time is not an option, maybe later.  Anyway, BB is monitoring the log
files and after a system reboot their are two lines in the logs with
"NOTICE" in them.  BB is sending a red indication based on those lines,
we are aware of them and would like to set the display back to green. 
In this version of BB there is no MSGEXPIRE variable.  Is there a way to
get back to green?  The only way I can think of is using the IGNMSGS
variable to ignore a string for those two lines.  Any other options?
