Re: RE : {bb} Questions about bbmrtg

Thanks for the reply Nicholas.
I have the scripts running just fine, and I did notice that when I ran the configurator scripts, that a host-name of sorts was placed in the brackets. I was just curious what the [ezwf] flags actually did, or if they stood for something.
Anyway it's running so on to other mysteries.

Thanks Again

Objet : {bb} Questions about bbmrtg

I've been fiddling around with BBMRTG, since it seems the quickest way to integrate BB with the MRTG stuff we were already doing, and I've come across some syntax that has me stumped. There is mention in documentation about how the bb* flags are to be formatted within the mrtg.cfg file. For example: bb*host [ezwf]: hostname bb*svc [ezwf]: Column_name

Does anyone know what the [ezwf] stands for? Are they flags? It seems
that all the entries use it, and I can't find any mention of
what it's for.
This is a tag which allows you to set some variables for a test.
If you generate an MRTG config using cfgmaker, you should have those tags :
MaxBytes[myhost_myinterface]: xxxx
SetEnv[myhost_myinterface]: MRTG_INT_IP="1.2.3.4" MRTG_INT_DESCR="interface"
etc.
So you simply have to add some lines to your mrtg config file :
bb*host[myhost_myinterface]: myhost.mydomain # myhost.mydomain defined in the bb-hosts
bb*svc[myhost_myinterface]: test
bb*unit[myhost_myinterface]: bps
bb*yellow[myhost_myinterface]: 80%
bb*red[myhost_myinterface]: 90%

Thanks for your help.
Hope this'll help
