Re: {bb} Monitoring a process with a ":" in the argument

We monitor a specific VNC session, also ":1", on our servers...  this is our solution (from bb-proctab):

nco_pad bbrun cron trap2mysql_w.pl "Xvnc .1 " mysqld syslogd

Substitute the ":" with a ".", and all should work for you.  Hope that helps!

{bb} Monitoring a process with a ":" in the argument

Hi everyone,

I like to monitor a process with it's arguments, however it contains a
":". I've tried to escape it with \: but that didn't help..

The line in bb-proctab is as follows:
lolalhost::"f60srvm port=10088 pool=1 mode=socket" "/usr/bin/X11/X :1 -ac
-fbdir /var/X11/Xserver" httpd;>=4

/usr/bin/X11/X >=1 - 1 instance running

It ain't enough to know wether X is running but also that it's running on
:1. Any idea's on how to do this?

Thanks in advance,
/Frank.
