About once a day, big brother reports that SMTP is down for one of our
severs. This outage only lasts for 4 minutes and 44 seconds ( I'm
guessing this is the how often big brother polls services ). Since the
duration is so short, it is not a concern, and I would like big brother
to ignore outages shorter that 5 minutes.
In bbwarnrules.cfg I added the rule:
host.*;;smtp;;;;admin@domain.com:~5
It appears I've misunderstood the escalation rules, as this only delays
sending the message. Is there anyway I can get BB to not send a
notification message if the outage is shorter than a certain duration?
Thanks,
Rob
