Re: {bb} disable in bb 1.9

I've recompiled with the -DENABLE_DISABLE option and copied bb and bbd into place and restarted bbd. This doesn't seem to be working either. I've tried with the cgi script on the webserver and also tried doing things like:

echo "disable proto.its.uwo.ca* 240" | telnet orwell.its.uwo.pri 1984

They aren't being disabled. Am I missing something? Is any of this documented anywhere? The 1.9 manual just says to put that flag in the config and it should work.. mentions nothing about recompiling.

Thanks,
Andrew

You absolutely do need to recompile. You must enable it in the Makefile and then compile.

I'm trying to get my disable working under 1.9h. In bbdef-server.sh I've set

RUNOPTS="ENABLE_DISABLE NOTESMSG"

My notes works, but I can't disable anything. I've tried with a plug, with sending commands to port 1984 manually and even sending the commands from bb on the BBDISPLAY itself.

In previous versions of bb, you had to recompile to be able to disable.. do I need to recompile 1.9h? I thought I just needed RUNOPTS="ENABLE_DISABLE" but I'm starting to wonder...

Thanks
