{bb} Exim smtp synchronisation error resolved???

I remember posting about this a while back but got distracted by other 
things. I'm getting the following error thrown up by BB because exim 
doesnt like the smtp session BB is attempting.

SMTP protocol synchronization error (input sent without waiting for 
greeting): rejected connection from H= blah [143.117.x.y] input="QUIT\r\n"

Has there been any progress on this?
I cant seem to find the solution anywhere!?
