Re: RE : RE : {bb} PNG images don't load automatically

Is the libpng installed? Your webserver must have the library in order to display a png image. You also need gd.

Yes, the source code seems to be working just fine.
I hope it' snot a problem to have the images in "/tmp" directory where I have them, is it?

Again, my BB server is on Linux RedHAt, not Win box.

Thanks!
Olga

I guess the source code works fine.

Google groups talk about mime type.

Could you check if a local webpage with a png image is loaded correctly ?

<html> <head> <title> local html page</title> </head> <body> Png test <img src="c:\temp\image.png"> <img src="http://hobbitsrc/hobbit/mrtg/image.png";>
</html>

I also have the "last 24 hours" link with firefox on windows 2k.

I'm using IE 6 (IE 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519).
I haven't tried another browser as didnt' think that would be the reason.

I tried Mozilla Firefox - it's the same thing. I see no red 'x', but I see no image, it only says "Last 24 hours". There is no "invalid image", so it looks normal if u dont know what to expect. :)

BB is running on Linux RedHat EL kernel 2.4.21-4
The PC where I see problems is XP Pro SP2 (it's the same on all PCs).

Merci!

Objet : {bb} PNG images don't load automatically

Hello,

Hi,

Does anyone have any idea why PNG images wouldn't load

automatically

in BB to reflect the
routers/switches interfaces?

It looks like there is a loading problem (perhaps on the browser as suggested Paul Williamson. )

I have subpages for Routers, Switches and Firewall.
If I click on any bullet to go to a R., S. or a F. page, I

get to the

page with many infaces for
each.
Then, if I click on any bullet, it takes me to a MRTG page

where I'm supposed to see 1 image per

interface.
After I click on the place that is "suppose to be an image"

(I see a cross on a blank image

instead, i.e. invalid image) - it takes me to the MRTG page

where I DO SEE the 3 standard images

loaded/created.
After I return to the previous page - this time, I do see

the image as

it's already created. But it should be created

automatically when I go

to the Routers' or Switches' pages that show that > single

MRTG image. Or am I missing smth?
I also have troubles with firefox proxies exceptions (it doesn't handle wildcard with IP addresses correctly).

I'm using
BB 1.9e
rrd-tools 1.0.49
larrd 0.43c
mrtg 2.090026
routermon 1.0i
14all.cgi
bbmrtg-1.6.pl

Please, let me know if you encountered that ever before.

I'm lost in

my guesses, it makes not much > sense. I'd really appreciate any input!

Thank you!
Olga

Could you please give us the name of the browser you tried ? On which operating system ?

Thanks

NF
