My first guess would be that the line termination of the
security file might have been mangled when copying from
your old machine.
You can check to see if the file now has CRLF termination
using "file security" and load with the "vi" editor to
identify any other problem characters. Instead, you might
simply try a fresh security file. A simple one, with network
addresses, is probably best to start with. Remember to make
the last entry a complete line by terminating it.
Another thing to remember is that the security file is
only read at start-up. ISTR that you can also force the
"bbd" process to re-load the security file by sending
it a HUP signal.
