- Thread-topic: {bb} memory-larrd.pl script questions
Hi again, Paul. I did have some trouble with memory-larrd.pl. This was 6
months ago so I am using archaelogy to figure out what I did, but I
think the problem I ran into was that the BB-PRO 3.01 windows client
sends a "mem" report, but the old scripts etc send a "memory" report.
Larrd wasn't aware of this.
Does this sound like it might be the problem you're seeing?
I still use the 'memory' column in addition to the 'mem' column, so I am
running a memory-larrd.pl that I hacked on, and also a mem-larrd.pl,
because for each report/column 'foo' you seem to have to have a
corresponding 'foo-larrd.pl'. From the code, I obviously tried to make
memory-larrd.pl cover the HOST.mem reports, but I suppose it wasn't
working because of the column issue.
I am one of those horrible programmers who belives (incorrectly) that
the code IS the documentation, and that I can quit typing as soon as I
arrive at a script that works; but I can share my scripts with you
anyway, if you like.
Rick

I'm double posting to hopefully hit every possible person
who could help.
The memory-larrd.pl script that comes with the larrd-0.43d is
horribly broken. There are no datas sources set up, and
obviously without data sources, there is no possibility of
data storage.
Does anyone have a working memory-larrd script?
I'll probably modify this one and push it back to Christian
at packet pushers or Craig at Cook IT Services
to include in any future release.
Paul
