{bb} msgs remains yellow indefinitely

Hi

   I am running bb v 1.6e1, and I am hoping to find ways for some of the 
messages under msgs to change from yellow to green.
I am unable to edit my /var/adm/message and thus, I have to find a way for 
messages captured by bb to expire within an earlier time.
Is there any setting I can set that?  I can see that my windows msgs 
captured only remains yellow for 30mins but some of my red msgs on unix can 
remain there for more than 13 days.
