Hi,
The only hint I can offer is: edit the runbb.sh script and search for "$RM" and "BBPID". Look what it's doing.

yeah, but it is ugly to have such failures, so i want to wipe them out

if i delete the BBPID files, would a start stop then be successfull?
If it is the case that it only happens when i have outdated files, and a possible solution would be to remove them, then this would be an acceptable solution.
My main Problem is, that this failure happens every time when i perform a stop/start ... i tought bbrun.sh wipes out this files after every stop execution?

yes once, when our NAS crashed, BB hung completely, so i had to kill the processes manually.
