{bb} client and server on the same box

I know its possible to have both the client and server on the same box, but I seem to be having a problem with this new setup.

I have a box that has the client installed and sending the data back to the BBdisplay, like any client. Well, I need for this box and another to do some testing themselves and send the data to the BBdisplay host as well which means installing the server on these two boxes. I installed the server into its own path and tried running it, but it wont start. I have gone through each of the config files, but I don't see anything out of the ordinary. 

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
