So, working from your last post, you now have version "i" installed
and "make install" has placed the binaries in the "bin" directory.
It would be helpful to know what BBOUT contains and if it is just
the absence of BB processes that shows that the server is not
running.

If you need more information from runbb.sh, the correct command to
add is "set -x" for most POSIX shells.
