{bb} M$ SQL shows trouble

Hi everyone, 
I have defined sql in BBNETSVCS and my bb-hosts file has # sql:1433.
I'm using this against two SQL hosts and they both show the red trouble
flashing .gif on the display host.  SQL is definitely running on both
servers.  Has anyone else experienced this.  I'm running big brother on
FreeBSD 6.0, v1.9i  Thanks,
