{bb} emailing not working - PLEASE HELP????? desperate!

Hi all,

Can someone PLEASE help me with this? I have been trying for quite some
time now, and I have looked through all the lists and I cant find a
solution.
For the moment I am testing BB on an XP client before I install it onto
our W2K servers.

Previously:
BB installed onto a W2k server 
BB client installed onto a XP client.
Email notification worked.
In bbwarnsetup.cfg I had these 2 entries as extra's:
bbemailfromaddress: bbrother@nuw.org.au 
mailrelay: 192.168.0.1 (where 192.168.0.1 is our Exchange server)

I also had an Exchange account setup - bbrother
Like I said, this all worked fine when I was running the server on W2k

Now:
BB installed onto tinysofa linux
BB client installed onto an XP client
I have left bbwarnsetup.cfg as default
I have made the following change to bbwarnrules.cfg;
*;;*;;*;*;akendall@nuw.org.au

As far as I understand, this should be working. I have tested this by
taking the XP client off the network so there is a red dot - no email. 
I then added into bbwarnsetup.cfg - bbemailfromaddress:
bbrother@nuw.org.au and mailrelay: 192.168.0.1 - restarted bb - took the
XP client off the network again - red - still no email.

Can someone please advise why this is not working? I have spent a very
long time looking up all mailing lists and I cant get it to work.
