{bb} Notification dump upon Linux reboot

,,,, /""""\ ( @ @ ) ---oOOO--(_)--OOOo------------------------------

Hello!

We recently upgraded to RHEL 4 on our Linux boxes. Upon rebooting the machines, we sometimes get a flurry of notificaions for the disk and cpu services which are around 3-5 mins apart. The log history for these machines indicate that the BigBrother state is changing from purple to red/yellow every 3-5 minutes. This behaviour stops only when BB is stopped and started manually on the rebooted machine. The curious thing here is the change to purple state.

The purple notifications are disabled in bbwarnsetup.cfg and there is a pagedelay of 24 hrs set up for all hosts in bbwarnrules.cfg.

Any insights on strange/inconsistent BB hang ups on Linux? Thanks!
