Have you changed PURPLEDELAY in bbdef-server.sh from the default
30 minutes? Do the alerts start showing up almost immediately (less
than 30 minutes) after starting the client? If you stop the client
(or halt the client machine) and remove the purple status logs
(with bbrm), do they reappear?

Perhaps the first thing to check is the "Status message received from"
line near the bottom of each of the problem web pages. The fact that
the status is not changing at a near constant 5 minute interval is
suggestive of data being received from more than one source.

If you are getting alert messages for "purple" status and you have
removed "purple" from pagelevels: in bbwarnsetup.cfg and restarted
the server, that also suggests that you might have a rogue BB
server still running. The 1440 minute page delay only acts between
pages for the same event. If the status turns red and stays red
for days, you'll get one page immediately and then one each day.
If it is alternating every 5 minutes, an alert will be sent every
five minutes (for pagetype: EVENT anyway).

You should also check BBOUT on the client, to see if there are any
errors, and take a look at the processes that the BB client is
running. You might also post the startup script that you are
using. It's possible that starting the BB client needs to be
delayed until some other process has completed.

Cheers, Phil.
