RE: {bb} Error when running make on Fedora Core system
I am trying to install version 9i. Yeah, I figured out that 1115 was a line
number. Found the line, but couldn't make any sense of it. I'm not a
programmer. Thank goodness there are people out there with the patience to
be programmers.
It does appear (at least to me) to affect the compile process. After it
exited, just for grins, I issued 'make install'. I was immediately returned
to a command prompt. Nothing appeared to happen. Does the install after
make actually go that quickly? After that, the installation instructions
indicate you should edit some files in /etc. Those files were not in /etc.
I was assuming the 'make install' would put them there.
Thank you.

That's an warning, not an error. It shouldn't prevent you from
actually compiling.

That's not an error number, it's just the line number in the source
file. It's likely to change from one release to the next.

I think that may have been included in the FC4 support that was
done for version 1.9i.

Cheers, Phil.

Madam, there's no such thing as a tough child -- if you parboil
them first for seven hours, they always come out tender.
