I'd start with the debug method that is detailed in the script,
passing a file that contains the output of "prtdiag -v" on the
command line, like so:

  ./temperature.sh output.txt Sun-Fire-V440

If that is no help, I would add "set -x" or strategically placed
"echo" statements to identify which "awk" command is failing.
