Re: {bb} more problems running bb on fedora core 4 system
Hi Gene,
I'm
still using the C release of BB and I'm quite happy with it. But,
I've been reading about the later releases, the releases where BB is in
two parts, the client part and the server part.
I
think the files you copied from the client tree are needed only on the
client. But here's where a lot of people seem to be confused with
the new release:
A given computer can be: A BB client,
A BB server, or BOTH
To be both, you have to install and configure
both parts. And you have to launch both parts.
It
sounds to me as if you have started only the client portion and there is
no server running to receive the connections.

NO firewall. I made absolutely sure it was not
set up at system
install. I verified it was NOT running again today.
