{bb} replacement for bbinfo script?

I was browsing around deadcat and found bbinfo. Looks pretty useful but I notice it requires a lot of binaries namely pg that only seem to be present on commericial unixes. Anyone know if anyone has written a perl equivelent or something that will
run on a linux box?
